Shon Howard Reunites at The Alley

This past Saturday at The Alley in Littleton, the stage saw a long-anticipated reunion as Shon Howard joined Waiting For A Name for a special guest appearance. Flying in from North Carolina, Shon brought a familiar energy to the set, one rooted in years of shared musical history with guitarist and vocalist Tony Medina.

Before relocating across the country, Shon spent time in Denver, where he and Tony played together in the band Mean Old Man. That project carried a raw, soulful edge and became a staple in local venues for a time. Though life eventually led them down separate paths, the connection they built on stage never really disappeared.

When plans for the Littleton show came together, the timing was right. Shon made the trip out, and within an hour of landing was at The Alley and picked up right where things left off years ago.

During the set, Shon contributed on guitar, blending into the band's current material. The crowd responded immediately, not just to the music, but to the chemistry on stage. There was a looseness, a familiarity, that only comes from having shared stages, songs, and stories over the years.

The room felt it too. The Alley’s close-knit space gave the night a sense of immediacy, making each moment hit a little harder. Whether it was longtime friends in the crowd or first-time listeners, everyone caught something unique, a one-night reunion, unpolished in all the right ways, and grounded in a genuine love of playing music together again.

Shon, we'll miss your face around town and we send you back home with love.
