Friday Night at the Elks Lodge

Friday night at the Elks Lodge was a great time for Waiting For A Name. The room was full, the crowd was welcoming, and the whole night had the kind of relaxed energy that makes you feel like you’re right where you’re supposed to be.

We played a mix of songs, both originals and familiar ones, and the audience was engaged from the start. Midway through the night we were asked to play two birthday songs for some of the local regulars. It added a fun twist to the set and gave us a chance to share a few laughs with the crowd. People sang along, smiled, and leaned into the moment. It felt natural and easy.

Michael, who’s a member at the lodge, had a chance to reconnect with some old friends he hadn’t spoken to in a while. There was a lot of catching up and reminiscing between sets. The space has that kind of charm where old stories feel right at home.

As for food, the band didn’t miss. We went with burgers and ribs from the kitchen, and they were exactly what we needed. The burgers were stacked high and cooked just right, and the ribs had that perfect blend of tender and messy. There was a full menu available, but those two hit the mark for us. It’s not every venue that serves a solid meal alongside a solid night of music.

Thanks to everyone at the Elks Lodge for having us, feeding us, and filling the room with good energy. We’re looking forward to the next one.
